Adapt or Perish!

Polyurethane foam, hard plastic

The sculpture "Adapt or Perish!" reflects male attitudes towards nature from a critical feminist perspective. It shows a hybrid organism that has been created by plastic pollution in the environment and has developed into amorphous forms with phallus-like shapes. The title criticises the ruthless, demanding expectation that nature should adapt to human needs and desires, while the exaggerated depiction ironically caricatures male power structures.
