Intangible
Installation, 2019
Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz
Installation view
During her one-month residency at the Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz, Daniela Trinkl was working on topic of cocoons and the intangibility of what they enclose. During her residency, the artist worked with packaging materials and chose the material masking tape for her cocoons as a parallel to the theme of enclosing. She used it to build cocoons of various sizes, both closed and open, which she installed in different corners of her studio in the Salzamt. The cocoons raise questions about their content, about transformation, death and life.
